Food whole,
Verbiage skimmed, raw.

Welcome to mkshort.wordpress version 3.0. The previous two blog’s posts are still here:
The first was called “Flint Salt Clay,” and concerned my travels in the U.K. in fall 2009. Those posts begin with A British Affair.
The second chronicled my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia, June-Oct, 2011. Those posts begin with The Plan.
This one is an experiment in Substance and Language, the former whole beyond our knowing, “untouched by the little clockwork of explanation,” the latter always incomplete of wholeness in its task of dividing and differentiating. Still, imperfect, how can it become (c)leaner and move us, imperfect, more whole?
These confusing musings, lightened up with pictures and recipes, begin with Skimming.
Cheers,
–MKS
